About Zack

Mayor Zack has dedicated his life to serving the Berlin community, both personally and professionally. A proud father, with another son on the way, Zack’s journey as a parent has reinforced his commitment to creating a nurturing and vibrant environment for all families. He and his wife, Chelsea, share deep roots in Berlin, having grown up here and attended Worcester County Public Schools.

Paramedic

Zack’s career began at the Berlin Fire Company, following in his father’s footsteps. His passion for helping others led him to become a Firefighter/Paramedic, where he served the Berlin community. Although he has transitioned from direct medical practice, Zack continues to maintain his Paramedic license and contribute to the field by educating future health professionals at the Richard A. Henson Medical Simulation Center at Salisbury University.

Public Servant

For the past eight years, Zack has served the Town of Berlin as an elected official—first as a Councilmember from 2016 to 2020, and then as Mayor from 2020 to the present. In his role as Mayor, Zack leads the administrative arm of the Town Government and works closely with a dedicated team of employees, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and comfortable. He is committed to leading the Council with a collaborative spirit, encouraging open debate on important issues to ensure the best decisions are made for Berlin. Zack’s focus is on building a strong, cohesive team that works together to make Berlin a better place to live, work, and visit.
