  • Make monumental progress towards a community center, including saving the historic parcel of the Flower Street School from being sold, creating the Community Center Advisory Committee, and securing a $100,000 grant for preliminary design and engineering
  • Beautify public spaces through town-wide projects and the creation of the Berlin Horticultural Advisory Committee
  • Promote bike and pedestrian safety by securing a $1,200,000 grant for the interconnectability of neighborhoods and a grant for the implementation of hard-stop vehicular barricades for town events
  • Update and plan for future park amenities, including lighting, court painting, and new backboards at the basketball courts at Dr. William Henry Park, Ping Pong tables at Burbage Park, Disc Golf and Pickleball at Stephen Decatur Park, and a skate park at Heron Park
  • Increase public art, including the Reverend Dr. Tindley, Pollinator Way, Yellow Brick Road, and ghost murals
  • Promote public involvement in municipal government by expanding public comment during open meetings and opening Board, Commission, and Committee appointments to all citizens through an application process
  • Address speeding concerns in the Flower Street neighborhood by installing speed cameras
  • Recruit and retain town staff by implementing an employee step and grade system for all employees and the Law Enforcement Officer Pension System (LEOPS) for sworn police officers
  • Increase and expand community events such as the Berlin Farmers Market, inaugural Hanukkah Celebration, and Christmas Tree Arrival on Main Street
  • Administer COVID grants for downtown businesses
  • Adopt an official Town Flag and update Town branding
  • Add POW-MIA flags to Town Hall and War Memorial on Main Street
